Caitlin Seng’s blog post ‘Can We Survive Without It?’ reveals an interesting perspective regarding the influence of ICT upon our children.
Her post lead me to question . . . Is ICT creating mindless children? With growing technological advances, this has always been one of my major concerns. Are we educating students to become the creators and problem solvers of the concrete world in which we live or are we educating them to program our technology to do these things for them. Is our technology (i.e. robots) going to eventually advance the capabilities of the human brain? In two hundred years time will we be inferior to technology?
